Jakub Julian Ziółkowski

lives and works in Cracow, Poland.
Jakub Julian Ziółkowski is painter. In his works, he creates painterly representations of the inner world. Imagination, the sub-consciousness and the ineffable play a central role in his art.
The painting Bestiary, presented in last year’s Art Biennale in Venice as part of the main exhibition Palazzo Enciclopedico, contains Ziółkowski’s typical range of motifs – grotesquely distorted fragments of human bodies, fantastical monsters and landscapes that bring to mind the famous triptych by Hieronymus Bosch, Garden of Earthly Delights.
